Snow Petrels: Pagodroma nivea nivea, by Terri Nelson, 2015
These birds live on pack ice at the Antarctic and can be seen sitting on glacier ice or flying with a fluttering motion. They are from the Procellariidae family, and, like all members of that family, they vomit a smelly fish-oil when defending themselves.
